Embarrassed and clueless, Mr. Nicholson visibly falls. Mr. Sandler comes closest to playing his true self as a grumpy pet costume designer whose only talent is moving nostrils.

A few loose bits aside, the farce here is dense, brutal and boringly boring, things the audience feel are meant to be laughed at rather than the well-crafted situations that make for real fun.
Spend enough money on a Sandler movie to make it look good—unless you let Peter Segal direct from Nutty Professor II.

Laugh your way through this outrageous comedy that will make you laugh out loud. The excellent supporting cast includes Marisa Tomei, Luis Guzman, Woody Harrelson, John Turturro and Heather Graham.
