Let There Be Light (Genesis One) – This coloring page depicts the events of Genesis 1:3 where God says, “Let there be light.” The image shows the sun and stars radiating that light on the first day of creation. This was the first day of the biblical creation story.

God Made the Heavens and Seas (Creation Day Two) – This coloring page depicts the events of Genesis 1:6-8 where God separates the waters and names the heavens. This passage is often difficult to understand, but Mandy’s parable shows the layers of water parting as God makes a way for heaven.

God Made the Earth (Creation Day Three) – In this painting, the artist shows the events of Genesis 1:9-10 where God brings dry land out of the sea. The image depicts several mountain peaks emerging from the sea. It was the third day of creation.

God Made the Sun, Moon and Stars (Fourth Day of Creation) – Mandy inspired this line art image from Genesis 1:14-19. The image consists of four panels, each with a different arrangement of the sun, moon, and stars. The words on the page read: “Signs, Seasons, Days, Years.” As a bonus you can also download our coloring sheet based on Psalm 19:1, “The heavens declare the glory of God.”

God Made the Animals, Fish and Birds (Creation Days Five and Six) – These next two coloring pages illustrate the events in Genesis 1:20-25. There are two different options for downloading and printing. These children can color as you teach about God’s creative act in creating the animals.

The coloring page above is free! It creates all 7 days with a small graphic in color for each day. You can color your children or Sunday school students as you read the Genesis creation story each day.

You can read each day’s section and pause at the end of each section to talk to them about the day’s picture.

God & Creation: Day 4 7 Special Package

This coloring page is free for your personal (non-commercial) use. You can use it in your home with your own children or in your classroom but please do not sell it to them. Be sure to check the printer settings and print preview to make sure the page will print correctly. If the page doesn’t look right, try adjusting your printer settings.

In addition to the coloring page above I put together a set of seven coloring pages, for each day of the creation story.

Kids can color the pictures. If they can read, they can read the verses for each day or you can read them aloud and then fill in the blanks to help them review what God created each day.

I think it would be really cool to take a week to review the creation story and have the kids color a page each day. You can display a page for each day on a bulletin board or wall. Then you can use them for visual reminders of the story as you revise it.
