Not quite a sequel to the third film. It’s more of a side story that takes place between the second and third movies. This is not Hiccup’s story.
Introduces, well, a new rider. The protagonist is an amnesiac named Scribbler. Suddenly, he is in a ruined dragon sanctuary with no memory of his past, his purpose, or even his name. He immediately forms a bond with a dragon named Patch, which is a rare type of hybrid animal that can gain different types of abilities.
