Friday The 13th Blu Ray Steelbook – Paramount Pictures is once again releasing their 1980s films on Blu-Ray this October 12th, but this time with a limited edition steel book featuring the films best entries. Retails for US $69.99 and can be pre-ordered now on Amazon. These discs were not the ones Scream Factory sold last October, but the ones released by Paramount.

Friday The 13th Blu Ray Steelbook
Frighten yourself in Paramount Pictures’ FRIDAY THE 13TH movie collection, featuring every deadly moment from Camp Crystal Lake to the streets of Manhattan. Attack begins with a group of counselors defying the “death curse” at a desert camp. Years ago, a little boy named Jason Voorhees drowned, and a series of brutal murders followed. One by one they discover just how unlucky Friday the 13th can be, as they are pursued by a violent killer. The bloodshed continues with each film – one of the most popular horror franchises of all time. This collection includes FRIDAY THE 13TH (1980), FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 2, FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 3, and FRIDAY THE 13TH: THE FINAL CHAPTER (which will bring Shout World’s Factory4. ) and Alan Rudolph’s Trouble in Mind (1985). Both releases will be available for purchase on May 30.
Horror Sequel
Jalmari Helander’s Sisu (2023) starring Jorma Tommila, Jack Doolan, Aksel Hennie, Onni Tommila and Mimosa Willamo is ready for 4K and Lionsgate Home Entertainment release. Currently, two releases are slated to hit the market on July 11.
Paramount Home Media Distribution will release Jonathan Liebesman’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) in 4K. The release will be available for purchase on July 25.
Arrow Video is preparing a 4K release of Bob Clark’s comedy classic Porky’s (1981) starring Mark Herrier, Kim Cattral, Nancy Parsons, Scott Colomby, and Boyd Gaines. The release is expected to hit the market later this year.
Giant Interactive is gearing up to release Oliver Stone’s latest film, Nuclear Now (2022). The release is slated to hit the market on July 25.
Blu Ray Review
Twentieth Century Home Entertainment and Disney have officially announced that they will release James Cameron’s Avatar: The Last Airbender (2022) in 4K, 3D and 4K. The release is slated to hit the market on June 20.
During the week of May 22, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release both Creed III and Shazam! Fury of the Gods on and 4K UHD. Other recent releases include V/H/S/99 from RLJE Films, Petitie maman from Criterion Collection, The Fist of the Condor from Well Go USA, Consecration from IFC Films and Last Sentinel from Vertical Entertainment. Titles in the catalog include a 4K UHD upgrade of Brotherhood of the Wolf from Shout Factory.
Terror Vision revealed that Yasuhiko Shimizu’s Cube (2021), starring Masaki Suda, Masaki Okada, Takumi Saitoh, Anne Watanabe, and Kôtarô Yoshida, is set for release. The release is scheduled to hit the market in June.
Lionsgate Home Entertainment is all set to release Kelly Fremon Craig’s Are You There God. It’s Me, Margaret (2023), starring Rachel McAdams, Kathy Bates, Benny Safdie, Abby Ryder Fortson and Elle Graham. Currently, the release is slated to hit the market on July 11.

Fred Zinnemann’s High Noon (1952) starring Kino Lorber, Gary Cooper, Thomas Mitchell, Lloyd Bridges, Katy Jurado and Grace Kelly is getting ready for 4K release. The release is expected to hit the market later this year.
Undercrank Productions will release Raymond Griffith: The Silk Hat Comedian. The two-disc set will hit the market on June 13.
Alfred L. Werker’s He Walked By Night (1948) starring Richard Basehart, Scott Brady, Roy Roberts, Whit Bissell and James Cardwell is set for release, Kino Lorber has revealed. The release is expected to hit the market later this year.
British label Dogwoof has released the official trailer for Anton Corbijn’s new film Squaring the Circle (2022). The film opens in UK cinemas on July 14.

Warner Bros. UK to release limited edition 4K SteelBook of Jon Turteltaub’s The Meg (2018) with original Japanese artwork. The release is slated to hit the market on July 31.
CineAsia is set to release Frant Gwo’s The Wandering Earth II (2023) starring Andy Lau, Jing Wu, Xuejian Li, Yi Sha, and Zhi Wang. The release is slated to hit the market on August 14.
Fun City Editions Primetime Panic 2 Triple Feature: The Death of Richie, Incident at Crestridge and The Seduction of Gina. The release will be available for purchase on August 15.

Kino Lorber in their forthcoming film Anthony Mann and Laurence Harvey’s A Dandy in Aspic (1968), starring Laurence Harvey, Tom Courtenay, Mia Farrow, Harry Andrews and Peter Cook. The release is slated to hit the market on July 25.
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced the 4K release of Thomas Schlamme’s comedy So I Married an Ax Murderer (1993) starring Mike Myers, Nancy Travis, Anthony LaPaglia, Amanda Plummer and Brenda Fricker. The release will be available for purchase on July 25.
For the week ending May 13, Paramount Home Media Distribution’s Yellowstone: Season 5 topped the combined and overall media charts in its debut alone, beating out Universal Pictures Home Entertainment’s Knock at the Cabin as another new addition to the lineup. in second place on both charts. Third place on both charts was overtaken by last week’s champ Paramount 80 Brady.
Australian label Via Vision Entertainment has announced its collection of August releases. They are: Searching for Bobby Fischer (1993), Blue Car (2003), Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle (1994), Film Focus: Jennifer Connelly (1991-2003), and Film Focus: Jessica Lange (1982-1995) .

British distributors Indicator/Powerhouse Films have announced their August 4K lineup and releases. They are: The Night of the Hunted (1980) and The Rape of the Vampire (1968).
Scream Factory has provided the final technical details for the upcoming 4K release of George A. Romero’s Creepshow (1982) starring Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau, Fritz Weaver, Leslie Nielsen, and Carrie Nye. The release is slated to hit the market on June 27.
Unearthed Films has detailed the upcoming release of Guy’s The Sound of Summer (2022), starring Shinya Hankawa, Kaori Hoshino, Kiyomi Kametani, Shiori Kawai, and Kuromi Kirishima. The release will be available for purchase on June 13.
