Most electric vehicle manufacturers recommend towing electric vehicles on flatbed trucks to avoid damaging the vehicle. Some models with two wheels can be moved on the ground, but each model is different. Check your handbook and tell the towing service in advance that you are driving a car.
Whether the insurance will pay to have your car towed depends on your policy. Some insurers will pay for towing services if you are involved in an accident covered by your insurance provider, but we do not provide towing cover, even in full insurance plans.
Some auto professionals offer optional policies for moving services, but these are add-ons to your auto insurance policy. Optional policies that cover towing costs are often called roadside assistance policies and generally cover the costs of various other services, such as towing and towing services if your car breaks down.
Roadside assistance policies usually run between $30 and $60 per year, depending on the area. A policy will have limits on what or how much it covers, but it can cover most standard theft service within a certain distance or to the nearest auto shop.

The full text depends on where you want it to be drawn. The towing service should be able to give you an estimate of how much it would cost for one of their drivers to tow your vehicle to your destination. Make a note of the price to compare with other companies.
Hook up and give mile money. These costs are the basis of transportation costs, and the higher these costs, the more likely to be paid if the driver has to take his car further than expected.
Additional charges depend on your location. Ask if you will be charged any additional fees or higher rates because of your condition, such as needing to use a flat bed or pumping from the sewer, and how much the fees are.

After an accident, your car may be towed from the scene. If your car cannot pass, the police will ask you to call a tow truck or call one yourself. However, you will be allowed to drive your car away from the venue. If the police decide that it is not safe for you to continue driving your car, there are some things you should do before the truck arrives.
Note: Only hand over your car to the truck driver who has been called to the spot. Anyone who appears before may be trying to deceive you and take more power.
Tow Your Rights: When Your Car Is Taken, State Rules Vary Wildly
Maximum rates increase for heavy vehicles or combinations of vehicles. You can find better rates, but these are the highest you can get under Oklahoma law.
However, some other costs may apply, including a fuel surcharge set by the state. If any additional work is required, such as disconnecting the drive line, that will be added to the cost. If your car has to be stored in a tow yard, that will be extra as well, starting at about $18 per day for outdoor storage and $30 per day for indoor storage.
Some car insurances include towing after an accident, either in whole or in part. You may be able to get a refund if you use the right discount service.
Additionally, the cost of parking can be significantly reduced if you have a membership in a car park, such as AAA. Moving (up to a distance) can come with an advantage.

When the truck arrives, the driver will ask you where you would like your car to be towed. You should specify which mechanic or auto repair shop you want your car to go to, but if you’re not sure, the tow truck driver or police officer at the scene will be able to give you the few options. If the driver is incapacitated when the vehicle is being loaded, the vehicle may be towed by the police without permission to the nearest salvage yard. This may include additional fees, such as storage.
Your car insurance may cover transportation and storage after an accident, depending on your policy. Some plans only cover you if you also have a roadside assistance plan. Oklahoma is a “fault” state, so if the other driver is at fault in the accident, then they or the insurance company should pay for transportation and storage.
But you should get your vehicle back from storage as soon as you can. The law in mitigation of damages states that you must use reasonable care and diligence in an effort to minimize or avoid injury. That means the insurance company won’t pay storage fees for longer than they think is reasonable – and then you’ll be stuck with the money.
You should not allow your vehicle to enter before the police arrive at the scene. Authorities need to know the extent of the damage to your car so they can file a police report of the accident. Cars are often towed to a mechanic, auto repair shop, or salvage yard after an accident, and this can limit access to it for days. You should remove any books or important items from your car before renting.
