After more than a year of canceled events around the world, the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae will make its debut in coupe and roadster versions at the 2021 UK Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The elegant lines of the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae (no, there is no second T missing) belie the performance of this final minor. The 6.5-liter “Longitudinal Posterior” (LP) 12-cylinder engine delivers 780 hp in permanent all-wheel drive – 40 hp more than the Aventador S and 10 hp more than the SVJ.
The Aventador LP 780-4’s extremely stiff and light carbon fiber monocoque and the extensive use of carbon fiber throughout the body contribute to its dry weight of just 1,550 kg. The coupé version, which weighs 25 kg less than the Aventador S, has the same power-to-weight ratio as the SVJ at 1.98 kg/hp, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and offers a top speed of 355 . km/h with 720 Nm of torque at a maximum of 6,750 rpm.
In addition, improvements were introduced to the variable valve timing VVT (Variable Valve Timing) and the variable intake system VIS (Variable Intake System) to achieve an optimized torque curve. The CCB braking system brakes from 100 km/h to a stop in just 30 meters. Lateral steering is optimized thanks to the four-wheel steering introduced in the Aventador S, which guarantees agility at low and medium speeds and greater stability at high speeds.
Lamborghini LDS (Lamborghini Dynamic Steering) dynamic steering on the front axle ensures direct feedback and excellent steering behavior and is perfectly coordinated with the active steering of the rear wheel on the rear axle: separate actuators react to the driver’s steering movements in five milliseconds and allow real-time adjustment of the steering angle, improving cornering behavior.

The LP 780-4 Ultimae poster is characterized by a special front bumper, which increases the contact pressure in the front area and offers longitudinal performance similar to the SVJ. r ESC traction control and vehicle dynamics are controlled more precisely and faster, with differences in grip, even on low-grip surfaces such as snow and ice, identified and factored into the calibration.
For top-class aerodynamic performance, the LP 780-4 front splitter and open “mouth” direct additional airflow to improve aerodynamic efficiency and cool the engine and radiator. Air ducts and cooling air intakes on the side of the bumper minimize the disruptive effect generated by the front tires and optimize follow-up flow to the rear radiator. The Ultimae’s lightweight rear bumper complements the dynamic exterior based on the SVJ’s racing heritage.
The active aerodynamic system in the rear spoiler can be adjusted to three different positions depending on the selected speed and driving mode – closed, “maximum performance” or “maximum handling” – and improves the overall balance of the vehicle. It does this along with vortex generators in the front and rear hood areas to maximize airflow and help cool the brakes.
The power is transferred through the particularly light 7-speed Lamborghini ISR (Internal Shifting Rod) transmission with automatic shifts in just 50 milliseconds. A standard package of CFRP carbon fiber reinforces the interior and exterior elements. The exterior is available in a matte finish that blends perfectly with low-gloss exterior colors. Color accent paint on the exterior is also available in white, silver and bronze and coordinates with the front bumper and rear wing diffuser.
The Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae Roadster will be launched in Blu Tawaret and Blu Nethuns blue with glossy black carbon fiber roof panels. From market launch, the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae will be available as a coupe and roadster in the Lamborghini network, with the exception of the following markets: China, South Korea, Vietnam, Brazil and Chile.
