How To Draw A Rose Flower Step By Step

How To Draw A Rose Flower Step By Step – I’ve been playing around with drawing roses, trying to find an easy way to do it for anyone I might like. I finished this tutorial. Try. This may take a little practice, but if you keep at it, you’ll soon be painting roses all over your house (trust me, I know).

I made this quick poster to show you how to do it right away and then if you want more details scroll down. You can see that I used a different color for each step. Pink/Red is the first color: as in the first row at each step, purple is the next, blue is the last color, and light green which is cleared out at the end of the step. Beyond that, just imagine the petals, as in step 1, and tape them together to form the flower. Whether you’re doing a sideways look or a bird’s-eye view, it’s all about bringing the petals together.

For the three roses I’ve drawn below, I used Macro Refine colored pencils that I got for my birthday. It’s different from the Prismacolors I love and use all the time, but it’s a cheaper and viable option for anyone who wants to color with pencils. I also used Strathmore Bristol Paper, 11″ x 14″ for this drawing.

She painted three roses, the first facing the viewer, the second slightly to the side, and the last halfway away from the audience.

Start by drawing a small oval. This will be the center of the rose. Add some lines for the inner and outer center. Then start adding petals.

Continue adding rose petals radiating from the center. They’re just slightly curved lines that go in circles when you think about it.

Keep adding more petals as you go. I want to make some of the petals pointed slightly towards the center.

For the viewer-facing rose, continue working in a circle, adding between 3 and 5 petals per layer.

Try to make sure that the flowers look somewhat balanced. For the photo on the right, I cut it out to indicate which petal was drawn first.

For the second flower, start with a tube with a slight opening, like the photo on the left. Then modify the cutout by adding some curved lines to denote the petals.

I continue. To draw the petals that surround the center of the rose, start at the central outer lines, and bring the lines forward, like the image on the left. Then you can add two lines running from each end of the newly formed petal, drawing slightly curved lines to show that the petals are slightly curved at the edges.

To create a slight opening, draw two curved lines from behind the rose (photo on the left). The lines should form a heart shape on the front of the rose. Then add a few more marks indicating to bend and twist the petals (photo on the right).

Each time you draw the petals, add a line that runs from the tip all the way to the base of the rose (photo on the left). Add another petal, with this petal facing outward, so that the viewer can see only the curved part (photo on the right).

Keep adding the petals, now expanding more outward, so they look open. Make sure they are ‘attached’ (in a manner of speaking) to the base of the rose.

As a final step, add more petals around it, including the ones that curve outward. As you can see from the photo, the petals partially cover the base.

Be sure to draw a stem and some leaves for the second flower. It’s time to start the third rose. This time away from the viewer, so I started with a single heart-shaped petal, like in the image above.

I added another petal facing outward, like the second flower, and a stem with some leaves on it.

I wanted to make it look like there was an open sky in the background, so using light blue I painted some clouds. Then using the same light blue, I filled in some shadows for the roses and leaves, a little bit of blue for the sky, and the background. All in one colour.

Next, I use black to darken the bottom half of the page, which includes not only the sky, but any background that might be there.

Next, I used a darker pine green to add more dimension, and even some detailing to the leaves.

Using a lighter green, I added more color to the leaves and stems, and more shading to the white roses.

Since white is really just a pop of color, I used pink, brown, and yellow to add some shading to the roses. I also used silver to shade the clouds a bit, and added more blue to the sky and roses.

These are the colors I have used so far. So I use left to right. Whenever I use color in an image, I make sure to use it to darken the bottom of the image.

Next, I used less purple, more blue for the sky, and darkened the lower areas.

I used the five colors above to add to the sky and roses. A white pencil I use sparingly on the white areas of the flowers and clouds. I also added more greens to the leaves and stems.

Here’s the end result, I wish the colors were a bit deeper, but I’ll try again next time:
