Draw a circle to create the base of the head. Draw a horizontal line at the bottom, intersected by a vertical line at a right angle.

Shade a small circle in each eye and draw a larger circle around it. These are the pupils and iris of the eyes.

Use curved lines to trace the sharp, curved shapes of the eyebrows and the tip of the nose. Use a wide U-shaped line for the mouth and a small line to go around one eyebrow, adding a sense of uncertainty to the face.
Draw a long curved line or two below the head to create a neck. Let them move horizontally, showing their shoulders.
Let the two lines meet at one point, creating long strands of hair on one side of the face. Use more curved, crossed lines to draw bangs and parting in the hair.
Let parts of your hair cross in front of your shoulders and some behind. Notice how the lines come together and dip inward at the top of the head.

How To Draw Anime Girl Faces, Step By Step, Drawing Guide, By Puzzlepieces
1. Start by drawing a grid of guide lines. First, draw a vertical vertical line and a horizontal vertical line that meet at the bottom left corner of the page. Then draw another pair of horizontal and vertical lines that meet in the middle of the page. Finally, draw shorter horizontal lines at the top and three-quarters of the way down the page.
2. Erase the line at the bottom of the circle. Draw a wide “U” shaped line below the circle, meeting the horizontal line below. It describes the shapes of the cheeks and chin.
Use curved lines to outline the ears attached to the head below the midline. From the chin, draw two curved lines to create the neck. Notice how the mesh helps to position the ears
3. Next, draw the anime eyes just below the midline. Describe the curved rectangular shape, making sure that the bottom line does not connect to the sides. Thicken and darken the top line and outer edges. Continue with short, thick lines to create eyes.

The nose is placed just inside the original circle, three quarters of the way down from the top. The mouth runs halfway between the nose and the tip of the chin.
7. Use long curved lines to cover the top of the hair. Notice how the two lines meet and dip in at the top of the head.

You will notice that characters of different ages have different heads. In fact, the shape of the head can be a key indicator of a character’s age. How come?
Consider this example of a child’s head. Note that points like the chin are softer. The face is wider and rounder, especially on the cheeks. Even the eyes are rounder and less square.
