One tip before you start this skull drawing tutorial: it’s easier to keep the proportions right when you draw small.

Let’s start this step by step skull drawing tutorial by drawing a circle. It doesn’t have to be perfect and feel free to draw it with lots of lines. Find its center as well.
These ovals are not yet eye sockets — their shape is too simple for this. Let’s fix it. Draw a curved line that cuts through both ovals, leaving some space for the eyebrow area.
Draw a curved line from the corner of the eye towards the other eye socket, passing through the chin. This will be the mouth area.
The skull sketch is coming. Then draw a teardrop shape in the center of the eye socket, at the bottom of the circle. This will be the nose.

We need to add more details to the mouth. First, define the front of the upper jaw using two curved lines.
Let’s finish drawing the human skull. If you are drawing in a traditional way, you can put a new sheet of paper on top or simply paint with a darker medium.
Finally, bold some lines to make the effect more interesting. And that’s it — your drawing is done!
