6. Color it. Be creative and use your imagination! We used an earthy color, but you can use any color you like.

Drawing dinosaurs can be really easy if you know how to start. Using a pencil, draw a series of circles or ovals for each part of the dinosaur’s body. Then connect this circle to the outline. Erase the circles so that you are left with a picture of a dinosaur ready to be colored. Once you get used to these 4 dinosaurs, try rearranging the shapes for different poses. Then use a circle to draw any dinosaur you want!

To draw the T-Rex, draw the circle first before adding a second smaller circle that overlaps the first one. For the mouth, draw a counterclockwise rotated “V” on the left side and connect it in a circle along the line. Then draw a horizontal oval for the tail and a vertical oval inside a small circle for the legs. Overlap the ellipse for the bottom of the leg with the other ellipse, then repeat for the back leg. Finally, add details to the face and toes, erase unnecessary lines, and color the image. Read on for tips on how to draw a raptor or pterosaur! Start your sketch with two circles. The top is the head, and the oval shape is the frame of the body. After attaching the two to the neck guide, draw the tail guide.
