How To Draw Eyebrows With Pencil On Paper
Draw the outline for the eyebrow outline. use the reference image to draw the borders if you can’t draw it yourself. Use a light pencil to draw as it erases easily.

Pull the first layer of hair. Use very light pressure on the pencil. use random strokes instead of line strokes because it looks too unrealistic.
Apply the second layer of hair. Use the layer one by one using the straight dark pencil because in the end it looks very messy.
Now blend the brow using a brush or any blending tool such as the blend of sticks, cotton or paper.
I am doing some details using a dark pencil. You can also add some more details or you can use a reference image for help. After that, your drawing is ready to be displayed.

This is a short tutorial on how to draw eyebrows step by step on paper. I hope you like it and this is my method to draw an easy eyebrow drawing if you have any other then write in the comment section below. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by all the art supplies out there, especially when you’re just starting to draw. Not having the right materials can be frustrating because your artwork will not turn out as you hoped. Here is a list of the basic art supplies you will need to get started.
Having the right materials doesn’t mean you’ll be good at drawing straight away, but it can make a real difference to the end result.
The paper I use for my graphite pencil drawings is smooth bristol paper. You can use any paper you like as long as it is around 270gsm (100lbs) as it will be easier to layer, blend and hide when you need to. I prefer to use smooth paper because I like how the graphite blends into it. The best paper to use for colored pencils is paper that has a little tooth. For my colored pencil drawings I use “Bristol” vellum paper.
By using paper with less teeth, the colored pencil pigment will have more grip on the surface and you will be able to add more layers. If you use very smooth paper, it will be more difficult to place the colors. Using a very rough paper such as pastel paper, it will be more difficult to create smaller details.

There are many different brands of graphite pencils and I have tried many of them. The ones I like the most are the Faber-Castell 9000 graphite pencils. They layer and blend beautifully and I can create great detail with them. The ones I use the most are HB, 2B, 4B, 6B and 8B. For the darker values where the 8B is not dark enough, I use a black pencil. Faber-Castell multichrome black pencils blend well with graphite pencils.
Faber Castell Polychromos are oil based pencils. They have a firm pencil tip that I like to use for fine detail. I don’t usually use them to color larger areas, for that I use Caran d’ache Luminance, which are wax-based pencils.
Wax-based crayons are softer and much easier to blend than oil-based crayons. I use the Luminance pencils to set a lot of color and when I need to blend larger areas. They need to be sharpened more often and also replaced more quickly. Luminance is an expensive brand to buy, but they are a great choice if you are a serious crayon user.
There are many different brands of colored pencils. As a beginner, you may want to start with student grade colored pencils so you can get a feel for it. But once you start using colored pencils more often and want to start selling your art, you can invest in professional quality colored pencils. The price of good quality pencils is a bit higher but definitely worth the investment. Quality colored pencils are:

When using pencils it is better to use sharpened pencils. If you use a dull tip, it will be more difficult to add graphite or color to the teeth of the paper, and you may apply too much pressure, preventing you from adding more layers. Try to use high quality sharpeners, because they usually have sharp edges. Or make sure to replace your sharpener every now and then. The pencil sharpener I use has 3 holes so I can use it with my graphite pencils and colored pencils which are both different widths.
There are different types of rubber. I like to use a pencil eraser or eraser to erase fine details and a cooked eraser to lift some of the graphite for highlights.
Colored pencils are much harder to erase than graphite. The more layers you have, the harder it is to erase. This is why it is important to use light pressure.
I have different sizes of mixing sticks. I use the larger ones to blend larger areas and the smaller ones for smaller areas. Blending stems only works well with graphite, when blending colored pencils you will use a layering technique.

For the brightest spots in my drawings, I use a 0.7mm white uni posca. This is an acrylic paint marker. What I like, is that once it is dry, you can go on it. When doing this, be sure not to press too hard on the pencil or remove the ink.
This can be useful for creating small fine details such as highlights, hair or whiskers in animal photos. You can crop the paper where you want the fine details to be, and once you color on it, the graphite or colored pencil pigment won’t get into those indented areas. There are different sizes of embossing tools or you can simply use the tip of a mechanical pencil.
This is the best tool to keep your paper clean and avoid smudges all over your artwork. I use it to clean up any pencil that comes off while coloring. You can use any kind of soft brush. What I use is a large makeup brush.
A craft knife is great for use with colored pencils. Once you have chosen the layers, you can use a craft knife to remove the colored pencil for small details or highlights. This only works if you have enough colored pencil layers. Be careful with this technique as you don’t want to damage your paper.

Remember that whatever material you decide to buy, the most important thing is to practice. If you are a beginner, you cannot buy the “right” materials and expect to create a beautiful drawing right away. It takes time and a lot of practice.
