Power Rangers In The World – Jason Bischoff, former director of global consumer products at Saban Brands and director of global franchises at Hasbro, revealed a proposal for an open-world AAA Power Rangers game that he was trying to successfully release around 2016. It was called Project Nomad. Bischoff tried to pitch the game to Saban’s business development department as an ambitious open-world collaborative adventure that captured the energy, teamwork, lore and history of the iconic Power Rangers franchise.
He described it as essentially a Power Rangers version of WB’s upcoming Gotham Knights. The game’s story would take place on Eltar, Zordon’s home planet. With the planet occupied, it was up to the various Power Rangers scattered across the galaxy to free it.

Bischoff, along with several artists such as Jarold Sng, Carlos Dattoli and Lineage Studios, further developed the terrain and even created concept art for Project Nomad. This included reimagined individual portraits of the original Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, as well as the Red and White Alien Rangers.

In addition, three alternative models for the Alpha companion robot were drawn. Another piece of concept art shows Eltari with the Red Mighty Morphin’ Ranger commanding his Tyrannosaurus Rex Zord and the Silver Space Ranger flying by his side. Unfortunately, he says there was a lot going on at Saban at the time, so there wasn’t enough bandwidth or budget to support this video game venture. However, he was able to independently explore other funding opportunities.
Bischoff said that early discussions with various developers and publishers showed promise, but over time and shifts in the business caused every moment for Project Nomad to fall through the cracks.

Power Rangers, the show about teenagers who transform into superheroes with colorful helmets, has been on the air in one form or another since 1993. That’s 25 years of TV shows and three movies. Let that go for a second.
As the series celebrates its 25th anniversary, former editor Luke Lancaster, who watched Power Rangers as a kid, and associate editor Mike Sorrentino, a longtime fan, look back on those decades of morphine action. By that we mean, Luke tries to guess what’s going on based on increasingly vague show titles, and Mike tells us what each version of the show was actually about.

All Power Rangers Movies In Order & How To Watch Them
Mike: Yeah, if they really gave a 16-year-old the keys to a giant Tyrannosaurus Rex, we’d all have to run! Power Rangers is based on the Japanese television show Super Sentai, which has been on the air continuously since 1977. MMPR scenes with teenagers were filmed in the US and then interspersed with Super Sentai fight footage.
This original Mighty Morphin lineup pitted kids in colorful costumes against the villainous Rita Repulsa in hand-to-hand combat and their dino-themed Zord vehicles. We also meet the evil green hobo Tommy, who eventually comes over to the right side.
This is the series that launched the show that continues today — 24 seasons divided into 20 themed series, not to mention two movies. The show is so classic that instead of producing a new series in 2010, 32 episodes of this original series were “remastered” with new graphics and aired.
Luke: I thought I’d seen more Rangers than just the first series, but I was wrong. I guess they’re still teenagers with attitude who can turn into ninjas in motorcycle helmets. Are they just from another planet?

Mike: Kind of. This 10-episode miniseries connects the third season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers with the next series Power Rangers Zeo. Time on Earth is reversed by the Orb of Doom, leaving the former Ranger team too young to save the world. Billy is able to become an adult again, but as he does, the power coins that give the Rangers their powers are destroyed. Luckily, Zordon calls his friends on the planet Aquitar, who are also a Power Ranger team. They protect the world while everyone else finds pieces of the Zeo Crystal, which returns Earth to its original time.
Luke: I got it mixed up with “Zero”. I would make a Smashing Pumpkin joke. Instead, I’m going to think this is when Power Rangers decides to go into the Expanded Universe and throw in a whole bunch of interconnected stories and lore.
Mike: No, they were able to continue the story. That Zeo Crystal from Alien Rangers was brought to Earth in 1996 and serves as a new power source for the five Rangers. Other highlights include Blue Ranger Billy taking on the role of technical advisor instead of being a ranger, a new villain in the form of the Machine Empire, and (fresh from the “peace conference”) the return of the original Red Ranger Jason who becomes the new gold. Luke: They’re replacing the animal Zords with cars, right? I think the Megazord is just a big machine.
