Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue Figures – Since its release in 2019, Hasbro’s Lightning Collection toy line has been a great way for Power Rangers and Super Sentai fans to collect their favorite characters from the franchises. Super Sentai S.H. While figures may return this year, it’s unlikely the line will go global. We’ve got rangers, we’ve got villains, we’ve got monsters of the week…we’ve even got weirdos like Boom! Characters from the studio’s comics, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossovers. But with the franchise fast approaching its 30th anniversary, it still has a long way to go. So here are five things I wish Hasbro had covered more in The Lightning Collection, and we’re going to cover a lot of it this time around. This time it’s not just unique characters, but teams, villa factions… Hasbro has the resources, let’s see.
I know what you’re thinking – the last of this line is more MMPR and I agree to some extent, but hear me out. The Lightning Collection is a Power Rangers line, so it should make a special effort to celebrate what makes Power Rangers special, and things aren’t much different to Power Rangers than they are to Power Rangers Power Rangers: The Movie. Part of me wants to put this much higher on the list, because honestly, I wouldn’t be too upset if Hasbro made these figures and suddenly dropped it. If Hasbro is going to detail these (hell make them deluxe), think of the unique accessories that can be included with them, not just in terms of sculpts and paintings. also there may have been some recent Bandai figures but they were hard to come by outside of the US (they were nowhere to be seen in the UK). Not only did Hasbro do a better job on the design on them, they probably could have made them more comfortable.
Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue Figures
There are a lot of teams that don’t have any representation in the Lightning collection, and as someone who wants a little bit of everything (some series I’m all team, others I’m happy with. Red and 6th) it can be hard to choose which one I want more. But the Lightspeed Rescue is a solid piece of kit – great designs (with some really unique looking helmets – I’d like to get the visorless versions as an optional third head option) and lots of offerings from the line. This is another series with a unique Power Ranger in the form of Titan Ranger, the first ranger of the franchise to be made in the US. Titan Ranger should be at the top of Hasbro’s priority list, and when he arrives, the rest of the team will follow.
Bandai 1999 Power Rangers Gogo Five V Lightspeed Rescue Megazord Actio
Unfortunately, more MMPR, but this is another important one. One of the Lightning Collection’s greatest strengths is that it’s more than happy to make villa figures, and since that’s the case, Rito Revolto is a must-have. Rito’s arrival marked a major turning point for the show as it moved into three seasons, and the character was popular enough to remain a staple among Zedd and Rita’s crew until the end. The most ideal situation would be a two-pack of Rito and Master Vail, but this is another area where luxury pricing could be put to good use.
If you’ve been following this site for a while, you probably know that I’m a Power Rangers Zeo fan. So, the Machine Empire trial is something I’d like to see come to the fore. There are tons of designs that could be released at different price points and would go great with existing Cog figures. It would be great if we could get a big king Mondo here, but it would be awesome if we could (slowly) get more of them with Rita’s crew. But why stop at the main road? If we get MoTW figures like Pirantishead and the Eyebrow Rapper, guys like Louie Kaboom wouldn’t be too bad either.
This is definitely my Super Sentai bias, but Mahu Sentai Magiranger is one of my favorite Super Sentai shows of all time and the only one of my three favorites (the others being Dekaranger and Gokaiger) that S.H. Figures Premiere. Magiranger isn’t at the top of the Bandai Spectacles list, which seems like a safe bet, but I’d get the Lightning Collection versions. These amazing designs will be different from the figures released so far, and you also have the tools of Mystic Legend to create fantastic figures. Whether you’re a fan of Mystic Force or not, I think the Disney era needs a lot more representation along these lines.
