Spino Zord can be combined with Para Zord & Raptor Zord to form Spino Charge Megazord Para-Raptor formation. For someone who follows the Power Rangers franchise, it’s easy to know what to expect from Bandai America’s Zord selection. We will get the Megazord, Zord cars and bikes that interact with the Zord Builder system. Super Megaforce is no exception, with the release of the Zord Builder over the Legendary Megazord, taking the US Gokayo from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. As with most Bandai America releases, we get a set of Zords that are pretty faithful to their Japanese counterparts, but obviously lack the size and color detail. Another thing worth noting is that Gokayo’s “open” gimmick has been ditched in favor of adding zord builder ports in front of the zords that might be added. The chest continues to move when the ranger key is placed underneath. While I can see where some people might be upset, I’ve never been a fan of the opening gimmick, so I think it’s a welcome change to a design that’s expected to be for some combinations. The Legendary Megazord is a bit smaller, about the same size as the standard Megazords we get, and a bit thinner than Gokaiyo. Legendary Megazord includes Super Mega Skyship Zord, Jet Zord, Racer Zord, Wheeler Zord and Sub Zord. In Megazord mode, there are a total of 12 accessible Zord Builder locations. Although holding the legs or arms of the zords out of them may seem awkward, it makes for some fun together with the various bikes and zord vehicles that can use the wings or docks of the Gose Great Megazord . Say what you will about the “quality” of the toy, the Zord Builder feature is awesome for kids and collectors alike. Like the Joint Gattai series, I can’t count the amount of time I’ve wasted sitting here coming up with some annoying and weird stuff. With work like this, it lets your imagination run wild and that’s really important. Overall, this is a great choice for kids and collectors, especially if you have a Zord Builder collection. Really fun.
A vivid red Super Megaforce Red Ranger key is also included. It is the same as the regular ID (PR-001) and plays the same sound as the Legendary Morpher. However, it’s cool that they bundled the special keys with the Legendary Megazord. This is a fun little piece of writing.
