This is a great way to “read” a book by listening. The author says it himself and gives a clear meaning when he says it. The only downside I can think of to having it on audiocassette instead of the popular DVD is that I can share it with someone who still has “phasing out” audio. Another wonderful way to experience a great historian’s book for yourself.
The tape was read by Stephen King, in which he first recounted his life from childhood to becoming a prolific writer. His childhood struggles in college played a major role in his development as a writer. In the rest of the tapes, he explains what is important to improve your writing and gives examples of his different stories. He also warns of common pitfalls to avoid. . Students will definitely benefit from listening.
I bought this book in paperback a few years ago because I wanted to improve my writing skills. I never read because I was so busy. I decided to buy it in audio format so I could “read” it while I was working or driving. It was a good decision for me. I read the book thoroughly and plan to read it again.
I bought this book because I needed it for one of my college courses. The book itself is fresh and the book is an excellent read. It is informative and funny at the same time.
