Tab: A button hole will be sewn into the sleeve. It is usually made of leather and is located at the top of the sleeve. This tab is used to attach the flag to the pole.

Size: The string and thimble rig is generally designed for flags 8 feet by 12 feet or larger. Smaller flags do not require such support and can be flown with a traditional header and grommets.
