However, there is plenty of history to look back on. After all, it’s been almost 40 years since the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles first debuted in comics. Since then, there have been an insane amount of TV series, movies, concert tours and action figures. Despite it all, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have stood the test of time.

However, against some villains, they were not confirmed. While the TMNT may be reckless green superheroes, they have also faced a long list of villains bent on destroying them and/or the world. While some of them, like the Shredder and the Krang, are iconic, there are others that are, shall we say, more like the others.

But who is great and who is terrible? Fortunately, we have done all the work for you. We’ve compiled a list of the 26 best and worst villains that Half Shell’s heroes have faced throughout Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ history. Look below. And make sure you’re ready to see Mutant Mayhem when it hits theaters on August 2nd. And don’t worry, there’s already a sequel and a series coming out.

Best & Worst Episode Of Each Tmnt Animated Series, According To Imdb

Not that Pizza Monsters was that scary or memorable. What puts them on the list is that they were clearly plagiarized from the 1979 film Xenomorph.

More killer stuff has come out of Dimension X, but rarely have they been so blatantly borrowed from another franchise.

Za-Naron lasted only one episode, but in it, the entity controlled April O’Neil and turned her against the Turtles. It was a moment for which no turtle was prepared.

Neutralizer, a member of the Salamandarian race, is a bounty hunter who causes trouble for the Turtles and Kraangs during the 2012 animated series. Fun fact: Neutralizer is voiced by Danny Trejo.

Divide And Conquer

The main antagonists of the 2007 animated film, the siblings of Max Winters, are called upon by these ancient and massive stone warriors to help take over the world. Interestingly, they do not appear in any other incarnation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

In the 2012 animated series, Jay finally entered the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles universe with Usagi. With his dark magic powers and proficient ninja skills, he was a force to be reckoned with.

Thrug, the leader of the Stone Troops, is one of the original villains in the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series. He appeared in 12 episodes before reappearing in the 2012 cartoon.

This street gang first appeared in TMNT comics in 1984, giving the Turtles their first real brawl. The mutants killed most of them.

The Coolest Side Characters From Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ 1987 Cartoon

As a government agent fending off an alien invasion, Bishop was a thorn in the side of both the Turtles and Utrom during the 2003 cartoon. In the 2012 series, it was revealed that he himself was actually Utram.

Brother and sister of Alopex – another TMNT villain – this mutant tiger killer experimented on by Krang. You must feel some sympathy for the villain who turns out to be evil because of someone else’s actions.

Originally featured in a comic book miniseries before the turtles came along, this race of alien dinosaurs gained prominence in 1987, 2003 and 2012 cartoons. They are one of the few villains to defeat the Turtles in the original animated series.

Slash – originally Bebop’s henchman Shredder’s pet – mutated into a deranged version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987 Series): Volume 6 (1989, Dvd)

Danny is a clumsy teenager who seeks love and acceptance and finds it in a street gang of ninjas. He ultimately made the right choice, but there was a lot of damage along the way: April’s house burned to the ground, the Turtles lost their sewer habitat, and Splinter was tortured.

One of the classic turtle villains featured in the original comics, Leatherhead has stood the test of time, appearing in several graphic novels, video games, and cartoons. Although initially a threat to the Cajun-accented Turtles, the 2012 animated series reintroduces him as one of their allies.

Like Leatherhead, the Rat King returns to the original comics. This lunatic lives in the sewers, running an army of rats trying to destroy the turtles.

Master Tatsu never got the attention he deserved in the original Turtles movie. He is the second-in-command of the Foot Clan and is treated by the Shredder like just another underling.

His appearance in the 2012 cartoon did much to create the character’s legacy as a lunatic.

This is the best Foot Clan has to offer. Trained by Shredder himself, the Foot Elite serve as bodyguards who pledge their lives to him alone. In the 2012 animated series, they are reimagined as advanced robots.

At the time of this film’s release, Tokka and Rahzar seemed like nothing more than cheap replacements for Bebop and Rocksteady. However, these giant mutated wolves and snapping turtles deserve respect. Although they may have the temperament of children, these children almost kill turtles in combat.

Alopex is one of the best modern TMNT villains. He didn’t rise to prominence until the IDW comics microseries in 2011, but has since become a major force in the franchise through his role in the 2012 cartoon. As a ninja mutant, this fox was a formidable enemy of the Turtles and his brother, Tiger Claw.

This leader of the Purple Dragon Gang was created specifically for the 2003 animated series, becoming one of its main antagonists. His size, ninja skills, and army of street gangs made him a real threat to the Turtles.

Wherever Shredder is, the Foot Clan is by his side. His army of loyal ninja has been portrayed in many ways, from lost teenagers to robots in the 1987 cartoon looking for a home in the original film.

They have always been a constant presence in the franchise, providing more combat for the Turtles than anyone else.

The history of the boiler is not simple. She is depicted as Shredder’s adopted and biological daughter. She also plays Splinter’s biological daughter. At one point, she was even Leonardo’s love interest.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles S08e03 (state Of Shock)

This mad scientist has been making life miserable for the turtles from day one, thanks in large part to his Mouser, a little killer robot that preys on sewer rats like Splinter. In some incarnations of the Turtle franchise, he becomes a mutated fly.

These villains might be the worst because they really exist.
