Mr. Dursley was the director of a drilling company called Grunnings. He was a fat man with a beard but almost no neck. Miss Dursley was thin and blond, twice her normal height, and she spent most of her time climbing over the garden fence to spy on her neighbors, which made her very useful. The Dursleys have a little boy named Dudley, and they think there is no better boy anywhere.
The Dursleys have everything they want, but they have a secret they are most afraid of someone finding out. He thought that if any of the potters found out, they would not be able to stand it. Mrs. Potter was Mrs. Dursley’s sister, but they hadn’t seen each other in years, in fact, Mrs. Dursley didn’t seem to have a sister because her sister and her good and bad husband weren’t as Dursley as possible. He trembled at what the neighbors would say if the drummers came off the streets. The Dursleys knew that Potter also had a young child, but they had never met him. The boy had another good reason to keep the Potters away, they didn’t want Dudley messing with the boy like that.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is the first novel in the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling. This book was first published on June 26, 1997
The book was published in the United States under the title Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone because the press was concerned that most American readers would not be familiar enough with the term Philosopher’s Stone.
