The third and final film in the Jurassic World trilogy not only brings back favorites from the most recent films in the series, but also introduces us to some of Jurassic Park’s most iconic characters. With epic stakes and star reunions, it’s hard not to feel like the series is saying goodbye. So is this really the end of the road?
“Jurassic World Domination” is being marketed as the end of the story – with the film’s website even calling it “Jurassic’s epic finale.” So far, the saga has spanned six films: the Jurassic Park trilogy of the ’90s and early ’00s, as well as the Jurassic World trilogy, which revived the franchise from 2015. Additionally, Marshall hinted at continuing to expand Jurassic World. “We definitely want to make quality, good movies with great stories and great writers and directors, but we’re trying to do a lot in Jurassic World,” Marshall told Slash Film.

Jurassic World is a movie that many of us (and I’m talking about 90s kids here, but yes, late 80s and early 2000s can be included has) come to love him because of this nostalgia. I remember my first experience on the big screen was seeing dinos running around, fighting and it opened up a whole new level of imagination for me. But this was Jurassic Park, and this is Jurassic World we’re talking about.
Most of us don’t want to miss the last installment of the Jurassic World trilogy because of its nostalgia and want to see the larger-than-life movie on the screens in front of us. I think the audience here is mainly divided into two groups – those who have decided to watch Jurassic World and are not swayed by the reviews. And others see it as some kind of franchise on the brink of extinction and are in two minds about whether or not to watch it. The second group is what I want to address in this review.
Keeping the story short and simple, the film offers a unique cinematic experience when it comes to VFX and animation. It’s amazing how we love the emotions of dinos! Then there are actors like Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum. Of course, the performances are top-notch, so I don’t need to tell the audience how generously the nostalgia is given.
Just when you think – “Wow, what could go wrong?”, we get a gem of a plot (all sarcasm intended). This plot is enough to negate all the positive aspects of the film and put the biggest insomniacs to sleep, because hey- what’s going on in the movie?
Jurassic Park’ Movies In Order: How To Watch And Where To Stream
There are many chase sequences, battles and the plot jumps from country to country. But the film is so disconnected from all the elements it’s known to work that it might as well be thrown away to avoid spoiling the plot for future students! Even though my brain tells me it’s a work assignment, I think I slept for 2 minutes between chase sequences (it was supposed to be high octane) and I morally missed all the little details. Be responsible. of the movie!
If it wasn’t for work, I would have left a movie halfway through for the first time in my life. Mind you, this is coming from someone who has endured worse (eg Race 3, Roy). The disconnect is huge and the plot never lets you root for anyone or anything. Spins and spins and nothing comes up!
The best part of the movie for me is when Jeff Goldblum’s character says, “Jurassic World! Not a fan.” Communication is hard here, man! Of course, I was excited to see Dino vs. Dino, and it looked like the King Kong vs. Godzilla fight was huge. However, in this boring 2.5 hour movie, it lasted only 2 minutes.
Decision? As I said before, if you like Jurassic World, you will watch the movie despite all the red flags and warnings! However, if you have second thoughts, don’t feel sorry for yourself and give it up. Or go to find out that a wafer-thin plot has the potential to ruin an otherwise good film.
