The Return By Nicholas Sparks Movie – The Return is a book I had to buy and read for the simple fact that I have read everything by Nicholas Sparks.
It also had some mystery elements that kept me turning the page, including the main character investigating the mysterious circumstances surrounding his grandfather and the elderly man’s death and the true nature of a young girl named Kelly and what brought her to the small town.

It has romance, and like his last books it has an element of mystery. I like the mystery parts of this book because just the romance can get a little boring for me. For me, the mystery elements weren’t too much fun until more than halfway through. Once you realized there was so much more to find out, it became more exciting and a faster read.
This was a great book… and a Nicholas Sparks classic – same setting in rural North Carolina on the North Carolina coast, death, romantic elements, and a happy ending. In the end, you will learn more about the old man and what happened during his life in his later years. That’s a big part of the mystery.

As well as Kelly’s secrets in and around her grandfather’s cabin near Sunset Beach. What is the true nature of Kelly’s secrets? Read to the last page to find out!
Oh, and one thing I’ve never seen before, but thought was the best thing about this new novel, is the fact that this book came with
Wrap – one regular and one for the holidays! You can just rotate it depending on the season or which one you liked the most.
The only thing I would change is to add a flying bee or a jar of honey sitting on the front porch on the cover as a nod to Grandpa’s beloved beehives in the new book.
Romantic Date Ideas From Nicholas Sparks Books
If you like a Nicholas Sparks book or movie, like the romantic tradition of Dear John, Safe Haven, Last Song, The Longest Ride, At First Sight, True Believer, etc., this is something to add to your list. Like all Nicholas Sparks novels, I would love to see this one made into a movie.
Mix in the story of an injured Navy doctor, family drama, a mysterious teenage girl, a grandfather beekeeper, and a married police office…that’s the makings of a great movie.
If I had done halves, it would have been 4.5 stars, but let’s not complicate things with decimal points 😉
