The story is fantastic, albeit slow moving, and it runs parallel to the narratives of the past and present. Bryce, in particular, is one of my favorite characters. We only know him through Maggie, but he is the heart of the book.

The purpose of the book is not only romance but also much more important topics like teenage pregnancy, cancer, etc. There are some points that make me cry. Towards the end, there is a twist, which really gives the reader an advantage.
