The Quileute and Volturi approach the expectant parents, Edward and Bella, whose unborn child poses various threats to the pack of werewolves and the coven of vampires. Bella (Kristen Stewart) decides to be human a little longer after marrying Edward (Robert Pattinson). They honeymoon on a private island where Edward can sunbathe without alarm. When she starts to get sick, Edward rushes home to Forks. Against all odds, they soon realize that Bella is pregnant and that the baby is growing so fast that Bella’s life is in danger. The Cullens fear that if Bella gives birth, she will die, but she refuses to give up the baby. When the Quileute wolf pack learns of the pregnancy, they fear the child will be like a newborn vampire: a crazed bloodsucker who kills innocent humans. They plan to destroy it, and if Bella is killed, so be it.
