Best Lord Of The Rings Characters Ever
Jens Hansen’s reputation as an excellent ring designer was one of the main reasons he was approached for a ring.
. Today Jens Hansen’s son Halfdan Hansen continues his father’s legacy and oversees the production of a ring for us.
My father Jens Hansen knew and loved J.R.R. Tolkien, and I was very excited to hear that the films would be filmed in New Zealand. Then he called and asked if he was going to do The One Ring. He was thrilled and honored when we created the world’s most authentic single ring replica just for you and Weta.
This gorgeous jewelry ring is delicately engraved with the famous words in ancient runes of the black tongue inside and outside, as well as in a beautiful natural walnut wood gift box. The box can be displayed open thanks to an ingenious and almost invisible elastic hinge, or closed with a powerful rare earth magnet.

As with anything made from natural wood, the grain and color may vary and the color may also change over time. This is a completely natural process.
It is very important that you order the correct size as tungsten cannot be resized. If you don’t know your ring size, check out our handy guide.
Tungsten is a naturally occurring element with many unique properties. It has the highest melting point of any unalloyed metal and is extremely hard, about four times harder than titanium. Tungsten is best known for its virtually scratch-proof properties. Even in the event of a strong impact, tungsten will not scratch.

The product you have purchased from Weta is a gold plated product – with reasonable wear, the gold finish should retain its luster for at least 2 years.
Tungsten Carbide is 100% hypoallergenic and will not cause skin irritation or discoloration. Tungsten does not react to sunlight, salt water, chlorine or anything emitted by the body.
Tungsten Carbide rings require the use of other metals as a “binding agent”, in the case of the One Ring nickel is used. Tungsten binds to nickel molecules and prevents them from entering the skin. That’s why tungsten is hypoallergenic.
If you choose to wear The One Ring every day, we recommend choosing the sterling silver, 10k or 18k gold versions. This is because the gold tungsten single ring plate will wear over time with constant rubbing.

Alternatively, you may choose to wear your tungsten ring on a silver chain, such as the 25-inch (65cm) Weta chain that Frodo Baggins wore a ring on in The Lord of the Rings. Also designed by Jens Hansen, the chain with a unique S-shaped clasp is an exact replica of the chain featured prominently in the films. The One Ring, also called the Ring of the Lord and Isildur’s Bane, is a central plot element of JRR Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings (1954–55). It first appeared in an earlier story, The Hobbit (1937), as a magical ring that grants the wearer invisibility. Tolki turned him into an evil ring of power and rewrote parts of The Hobbit to fit the expanded narrative. The Lord of the Rings depicts the hobbit Frodo Baggins’ quest to destroy the ring.
Critics have compared the story to the ring-based plot of Richard Wagner’s opera cycle The Ring of the Nibelung; Tolkien died in any connection, but at least both were based on the same mythology. Another source is Tolkien’s analysis of Nods, an obscure pagan god with a temple in Lydney Park, where he studied Latin inscriptions, one of which contains a curse on the thief of rings.
Tolki rejected the notion that the story was an allegory, saying that the application to situations such as World War II and the atomic bomb was up to the readers. Other parallels have been drawn with the Ring of Gyges in Plato’s Republic, which granted invisibility, although there is no suggestion that Tolkis borrowed from the story.
Lord Of The Rings Ring
The One Ring was forged by the Dark Lord Sauron in the Second Age to gain dominion over the free nations of Middle-earth. In the guise of Anathar, or “Lord of the Hallows,” he aided the elven smiths of Eregion and their leader, Celebrimbor, in forging the rings of power. He forged the One Ring in the fire of Mount Doom.
Sauron imagined it to be the most powerful of all rings, able to rule and control those wearing others. Since the other Rings were powerful in their own right, Sauron was forced to put much of his power into the One to achieve his goal.
The creation of the Ring both strengthened and weakened Sauron. With the Ring, he could harness the power of all other Rings, making them significantly more powerful after his creation than before;
The ring appeared to be made of pure gold, but was completely impervious to damage and dragon fire (unlike other rings).

It could only be destroyed by throwing it into the crater of volcanic Mount Doom where it was forged. Like some of the smaller rings, but unlike the other power rings, it contained no gems. It can change size and possibly weight and suddenly expand to escape the wearer.
His identity could be determined by placing him in fire, when a fiery inscription in the Black Speech was invented about Sauron. It was written in the Elven script of Tgwar, and in the black tongue two lines of a nursery rhyme describing the Rings:
When Isildur cut the Ring from Sauron’s hand, it burned, his inscription was legible; he rewrote it before it faded. Gandalf learned of the secret note from Isildur’s story and heated Frodo’s Ring to reveal it, proving that it was the One Ring. Gandalf repeated the inscription (Pronunciation) in black in the council of Elrond, causing everyone to tremble:
The change in the wizard’s voice was startling. Suddenly he became curious, powerful, hard as a stone. A shadow seemed to creep across the sunlight, and it grew dark on Mother’s porch. Everyone shivered and the elves covered their ears. [T 5] Inside Story [edit]

After forging the ring, Sauron went to war with the elves. He destroyed Eregion and slew Celebrimbor, creator of the three elven rings. King Tar-Minastir of Numor led a large fleet to Middle-earth, and with this help Gil-galad destroyed Sauron’s army and forced Sauron to return to Mordor.
Subsequently, Ar-Pharazôn, the last and most powerful king of Númor, descended on Umbar with a large army, forcing Sauron’s armies to flee. Sauron was taken to Númor as a prisoner.
Back in 1958 he wrote in a letter that the surrender was “voluntary and cunning” so that he could get to Númora.
Sauron used the Numorians’ fear of death to turn them against the Valar and manipulate them into worshiping their master Morgoth with human sacrifices.
The Lord Of The Rings Film Trilogy
Sauron’s body was destroyed by the fall of Numor, but his spirit returned to Middle-earth and used the One Ring to wage war again against the Last Alliance of Elves and M.
Tolkis wrote: “I do not think there is need to worry about this spirit who wears the One Ring, on which his power to dominate minds now largely depends.”
Gil-galad and Eldil destroyed Sauron’s physical form during the Last Alliance at the cost of their own lives. Eldil’s son Isildur cut the Ring from Sauron’s hand on the slopes of Mount Doom. Though advised to destroy the Ring, he was captivated by its power and kept it “as a head of gold for my father and brother.” A few years later, Isildur was attacked by orcs at the River Anduin near the Gladd Fields; he wears the Ring to escape, but as he swims it slips from his finger and is suddenly killed by the orcs. Since the Ring indirectly caused Isildur’s death, it was known
