What Is The Third Divergent Movie – It hits theaters this Friday, and in honor of the third (but not final) film in the franchise, we’ve definitively ranked all the movies out there. Hate to say it, friends, but the results weren’t pretty. I’m sorry, Triss.

Where do we start Chaotic, meandering, over-the-top, the quartet’s third film starts slow and gets even slower. Granted, the movie deals with the weaker side of the book in the series, so that was always going to be a bit of a stumbling block. But the way she chose a small plot had to work with it to make it more confusing, practically slowing the pace down to a crawl and making established actors like Jeff Daniels, Octavia Spencer and Naomi Watts almost unrecognizable in their apartment and wooden presentation. cliche and boring lines. Not to mention, the overuse of CGI detracts from the film’s world-building value rather than enhancing it, and often the film feels like you’re watching someone play a video game. The only positive? Theo James, who manages to deliver a heartfelt and intriguing performance despite the film’s best efforts. But everyone else can be in another movie and very low quality.

The second film in the franchise is where things started to go off the rails. The movie (very, very intended) diverged from the books in a much more drastic way, and instead of taking the opportunity to improve on the source material, it seemed to change for the sake of change (yes, we’re talking about “box”). And so the overreliance on CGI seemed to begin. Yes, it’s hard to imagine the simulations that have always been one of the most interesting parts of the books, but ditching the floating rooms for real emotional stakes doesn’t get the job done.

Divergent: Allegiant’s Biggest Questions Answered By The Book

The first film in the series showed a lot of potential. Yes, it had a lot to do with DNA

But it was its own property, with its own world and point of view. There was no love triangle, just a love story. The action felt more realistic and tangible without the use of CGI. The plot was still complicated, of course, but in a way that fans like, and not in a way that would leave even the pickiest of people scratching their heads. Hopefully the sequels live up to the original. But we still have hope for Serial: Allegiant, the first installment of Veronica Roth’s adaptation of Allegiant. It was directed by Robert Schwentke and was released in 2016. March 18

Several citizens of Chicago run towards the border, but soldiers led by Evelyn (Naomi Watts) have been ordered to seal off the perimeter, preventing anyone from entering. Evelina assigns Jack Kang (Daniel Dae Kim) of Kandor to hold trials against the ridiculous conspirators and daring conspirators, where many of them, starting with Max (Mekhi Phifer), are executed. Evelyn and Jonah (Octavia Spencer) try to pressure Tris (Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James) into leadership positions in the New World Order, but they both refuse. Seeing that the hostile situation in the city is only going to get worse, Tris escapes with Four, Caleb (Ansel Elgort), Christina (Zoe Kravitz), Tori (Maggie Q) and Peter (Miles Teller) to cross the border. surrounds Chicago. However, Tori is killed during the test by Edgar (Johnny Weston).

The group was ambushed by Edgar, who was later overpowered by an armed group of personnel and planes. The soldiers take the group to the Office of Genetic Welfare, a highly developed city, where they learn that years ago the government believed society’s problems were caused by “damaged genes”. In an effort to create a better society, they begin altering people’s genes, with disastrous results. The government conducted “experiments” to correct this error by creating isolated cities throughout the remnants of the United States. The hope is to breed enough genetically pure individuals to repair the “genetic damage” left by the Purity War.

Tris and Four are tested by Matthew (Bill Skarsgård) and Nita (Nadia Hilker) to test and investigate the difference. Three is proven to be real, but Four’s genetic makeup shows that his genes are still “corrupted”. Caleb and Peter are assigned to surveillance teams to watch over Chicago. Matthew then brings Trace to David (Jeff Daniels), the office manager. David gives Tris a device that allows her to view her mother’s memories, and sees her mother rescued and adopted by the Bureau, before volunteering to join the Chicago Experiment out of devotion to the project. In exchange for helping restore peace to Chicago, Tris agrees to help David, who insists that only the council he is under has the right to intervene.

They join the military on a rescue mission to a nearby wasteland village, but the Four begin to distrust the Bureau’s intentions when they realize they are going there to kidnap children and forcefully integrate them into Bureau society. Back, the Four discreetly ask Caleb to keep an eye on the situation in Chicago. Four also tries to warn Tris of the Bureau’s intentions, but she rejects his ideas.

The Divergent Series: Allegiant Review

Caleb warns the four about the rapidly escalating conflict in Chicago between Joan’s Allegiant group and Evelyn’s factions as open war becomes an imminent threat. Four asks Tris to come back to Chicago with him to end the bloodshed, but she decides to go with David to Providence to meet with the council. David agrees to reintroduce the Four to Chicago, accompanied by Matthew and some office soldiers. Once airborne, Matthew quietly reveals to Four that the flight is a trap and that he must be killed. A skirmish ensues and Four defeats all the soldiers, although the airship is destroyed in the process. Matthew betrays David by helping Four through the cloak wall. The four leave for Chicago with Matthew still behind to be rescued by the office and alert Tris.

Meanwhile, Tris and David meet with the council. Trace disagrees with the council’s goals and criticizes that they have done nothing to stop the violence in Chicago. The council responds that David has the right to intervene at will, explaining that he lied to her from the start. During the trip back to the office, Tris ends their partnership. When she returns, she gathers Caleb and Kristina in David’s plane to return to Chicago, and Nita helps them escape.

The four are captured by the factions and confront Evelyn to stop the violence, though she refuses to budge. Tris, Caleb, and Kristina arrive to find the city falling apart in the first phase of the Allegiant attack. David makes a deal with Peter in exchange for Peter’s promotion and takes him to Chicago to convince Evelyn to plant hidden gas supplies in the office to erase the attackers’ memories and broker a peace in her favor, which she reluctantly agrees to. Peter takes her to a storage facility where she can spread the gas around the city but be safe herself, making her the only person in Chicago who will remember any of those events.

Tris and Christina fight the corrupt gang and make it to the vault, rescuing the four along the way. At the cellar door, Four convinces Evelina to stop the gas attack because he wouldn’t remember who she is if she carries it out. She folds and stops the launch, and is shot by a frustrated Peter. Peter rejoices in his victory until the same gas begins to descend in the vault. Realizing that David has betrayed him, Peter opens the vault so that Three and Four can stop the gassing and escape to the cloak wall as Four says he will find Peter.

The Twilight Years

Caleb arrives and helps Tris destroy the gas dispersal center, stopping the launch. The group gathers at the top of the Erudite building and watches as the stolen shooter flies back towards the office, loaded with explosives. Tris relays the message to the entire city, revealing the existence of the Bureau
