What Is The Third Heaven – In the 2nd letter to the Corinthians, the Apostle Paul spoke about the third heaven and said: “I know a man who joined Jesus Christ fourteen years ago. I do not know in the body or out of the body, I do not know; God knows – they got caught like this.
” (2 Corinthians 12:2). Was Paul “caught up” to heaven, as some Christians believe? Or maybe there is another explanation for what he was experiencing?
What Is The Third Heaven
The Bible uses the word “heaven” or “heaven” in at least six different ways, so it is most important to examine each use first. Because it will make sense of the topic of our discussion.
Corinthians 12:1 5: What Did The Apostle Paul Mean When He Said: “caught Up To The Third Heaven” And “caught Up Into Paradise”?
Genesis 1:1 refers to the heavens when it says, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Another example of the heavens is found in Psalm 19:1, which reads, “The heavens show the glory of God. and the works of His hands, which the earth speaks.’
The apostle Paul spoke of the creative works of God in Romans 1:19, 20 and said, “For among them the things that can be known about God have been revealed. for God revealed them because His invisible attributes were clearly visible from the creation of the world. because they are perceived by the creation and His eternal power and therefore cannot forgive the divinity.”
For example, we have Jesus’ reference to the “birds of the air” in Matthew 6:26. Another example is found in 2 Kings 2:11 where “Elijah went up into heaven in a whirlwind.” :13 Jesus said only heaven. “More than No man ascended into heaven. Except he that came down from heaven, the Son of man.”
Psalm 33:13, 14 says, “The Lord looks down from heaven… from his dwelling place.” Jehovah himself would despise them. And in Psalm 20:6, King David says: “Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed. He answered him from his holy heaven.”

The fourth use of the word heaven means a high spiritual position. An example of such usage is found in Ephesians 2:6 where it says, “And he also supported us together. and seated together in heavenly places (Greek: literally “heaven”) with Jesus Christ.” Another example is found in Revelation 4:1 where John sees the gates of heaven open. and a voice was heard saying to him, “Come!
And I will show you what must happen.” All enlightenment comes from heaven, from God, so a person who receives such enlightenment is “lifted up” or lifted up in a spiritual sense.
In the parable of the prodigal son, the penitent man said, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you” (Luke 15:18). “The kingdom of God,” as he said in Luke 4:43. “The kingdom of heaven,” as in Matthew 4:17. In other words, they use the two words interchangeably.
We have this example in Haggai 2:6, 7, which says: “For this is what the LORD of hosts says: ‘Just a little while – I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea.

And I will shake all nations, then what is desirable will come…” The prophet showed what this means.” He continued: (in verses 21, 22) “….I will shake heaven and earth. and I will overthrow the thrones of the kingdoms, and he will utterly destroy the power of the Kingdom of the nations…”
What we see here means heaven. The “kingdom of the nations” in Hebrews 12:26, 27 is mentioned in this prophecy and further explained. The author said it ” At that time his voice shook the earth.
But now he promised “We will cause chaos again. Not only the earth, but also the heavens.”
“Now, the expression ‘once more’ means the removal of that which was shaken into that which was created. to remain unshakable
The Third Heaven
“Therefore, seeing that we have a kingdom that cannot be shaken…” Notice that the things that can be shaken and removed are “Earth” and “Heaven.”
The apostle Peter mentions the same point in 2 Peter 3:5-7 and writes: “…if the heavens and the earth stood in the midst of the waters by the word of God; and with these methods the world of that age was destroyed by the flood” (“The world of that age” which was “flooded” and “destroyed” was dominated by its governments and its inhabitants. Only Noah and his family survived.)
Peter continued, “But by the same word Heaven and earth are now on fire and are reserved until the day of judgment of the wicked.” Just as God destroyed the “world,” a system consisting of men and rulers. (earth and heaven) by bringing the flood in our days. judgment and destruction of the wicked”. As ‘Heaven’ and ‘Earth’ will end with the flood, so will ‘Heaven’ and ‘Earth’ end (now). although different
When Isaiah prophesied: “For there is a new heaven and a new earth. and old things do not come to my mind. and it will not come to mind.” (65:17) He prophesied what Peter is. to talk about. and further to show that “Heaven and Earth” is referred to as a system Isaiah said this: (1:2) “Hear, O heavens, earth, for the Lord’s sake. He himself said “We raise and educate our children. but they themselves rebelled against me.”
From Morning Star To Adversary
Finally, when the Bible speaks of “the world” as used in 2 Peter 3:5-7, the word is translated from the Greek word “kosmos.”
It means “organized” (implicitly meaning “The world in a broad or narrow sense”) or in other words “world” and their equivalents “universe”. that Peter spoke of actually consisted of “heaven” (government) and “earth” (government) before the flood, as Peter showed. That is what existed and later died in the flood. It really means “the destruction of the wicked.” This is how the end of the world came. after the flood the Cosmos or the new world begins.
Now, before you proceed to identify We must consider the aspect of ‘age’ as used in the Bible. In Matthew 12:32 Jesus said that anyone who slanders the Holy Spirit. that person will not be forgiven in this system (Greek: ‘age’), nor in the system to come. It is clear that Jesus was talking about two ages: this age and the age to come. There are many biblical examples of this.
In Matthew 13:39, Jesus said, “The harvest is the end of the ages,” and in Luke 18:29, 30, He says that those who follow Him now will receive eternal life in the “age to come.”
The Thinking Behind The Third Heaven: The Rise Of Fallen Stars
That ends: “The earth” or system of things at present still consists of heaven and earth. (the same representative) to whom Peter said, “This is
“Just like the previous two eras. It will consist of “heaven” and “earth”, that is, a government consisting of Jesus Christ, the King and his bride (a joint “king and priests”), which He will give power to rule the nation those nations (Mankind in general) will create a new earth under the reign of Jesus Christ with His “bride” (see: Revelation 2:26, 27; Luke 22:28-30). it will be shaken.” Even as shown in Hebrews chapter 12, this kingdom will dominate and fulfill God’s will for the world.
Given the above, it seems pretty obvious that the “Third Heaven” consists of Jesus Christ and his literal bride. The new “earth”. So it seems reasonable to assume that Paul saw her. In Ephesians 1:9, 10, Paul referred to a “sacred mystery” and then explained that he would deal with it. “To gather all things together again in Christ.” That government is the kingdom of God that Jesus spoke about when he was on earth. And it is the good news of this kingdom that we as Christians must proclaim at this time (Matthew 24:14). We tend to think of heaven – the only heaven. But did you know that the Bible speaks of three heavens? Paul specifically mentions this in 2 Corinthians 12:2 when he says, “I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was . . . caught up to the third heaven.”
What does Paul mean by this? Is there really a third heaven? How many levels does heaven have?
