Crabbe’s death was ruled an accident caused by the explosive power of the Fiendfire spell he cast.
Colin Creevy, 17, died on May 2, during the Battle of Hogwarts at the end of the Second War against He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Creevy, known for his photography and Harry Potter adoration, was born a wizard. Proud members of Dumbeldore’s army were killed on the Hogwarts lawn in a battle against Death Eaters. He was a sixth year student at Hogwarts. He is survived by his muggle parents and a younger brother, Dennis Creevy.
Bellatrix Lestrange, 41, was killed on May 2 during the Battle of Hogwarts at the behest of Phoenix member Molly Weasley. Lestrange and her husband, Rodolphus Lestrange, were avid followers of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named and were sent to Azkaban for crimes against the Longbottom family. The strangers escaped and rejoined the Dark Lord. Bellatrix Lestrange is wanted for the murders of Sirius Black, the house elf Dobby, and her niece Nymphadora Lupine, among others. Before she was named Bellatrix Black, she was the daughter of Cygnus Black and Druella Rosier. She is survived by her husband and sister, Narcissa Malfoy.
Nymphadora Tonks Lupine (25) was killed on May 2, during the Battle of Hogwarts, by her aunt, Bellatrix Lestrange. Lupine was the muggle daughter of the pureblood witch Andromeda Black and Ted Tonks. She was a member of the Order of the Phoenix and died alongside her husband, Remus Lupin, during the Battle of Hogwarts while fighting the Dark Lord’s forces. He is survived by his mother and his one-month-old son, Ted Remus Lupin.

Remus John Lupin (38) was killed on May 2, during the Battle of Hogwarts, by the famous Death Eater Antonin Dolokhov. Lupine, a member of the Order of the Phoenix, was a former Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher at Hogwarts. He left his position due to his status as a werewolf. He married Nymphadora Tonks in 1998. He is survived by his 1-month-old son, Ted Remus Lupin.
Severus Snape (38) was killed on May 2, 1998 during the Battle of Hogwarts by He-Who-Must-Not-Name. Snape was the former Headmaster of Hogwarts and a Potions and Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. Harry Potter discovered that Snape, a famous Death Eater, was a spy for the Order of the Phoenix and a wizarding hero. Snape was the son of the witch Eileen Prince and the muggle Tobias Snape.
Fred Weasley, 20, died on May 2 in an explosion during the Battle of Hogwarts. Weasley was the co-owner of the popular joke shop in Diagon Alley, Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes, and a member of the Order of the Phoenix. He was a legend at Hogwarts, where he captained the Gryffindor Quidditch team alongside his identical twin, George. The two did not finish school, but decided to create a joke shop. Weasley was the son of Arthur Weasley and Molly Prewett. He is survived by his father, mother and six brothers and sisters.
